Ponteland Primary School on Callerton Lane is a state primary providing education from nursery age through to Year 6, part of the Pele Trust that links the town's schools. It offers early-years places alongside its main primary provision.

Well placed within the village near the high school and leisure centre, it is one of the core primaries feeding Ponteland High School. Admissions run through Northumberland County Council.
