Close House
Championship golf resort and hotel a short drive from Ponteland, home to the world's only Lee Westwood-designed courses and a former British Masters venue.
About Close House
Close House is a championship golf resort and hotel between Heddon-on-the-Wall and Wylam, a short drive south-west of Ponteland. It is home to the only Lee Westwood-designed courses in the world — the Colt and the Filly — and has hosted the British Masters on the DP World Tour, in 2017 and 2020, with Westwood as the club's attached tour professional.\n\nAlongside the courses there is a 20-bay floodlit Toptracer driving range and golf academy, hotel accommodation and dining at the No.19 bar and restaurant, making it a destination in its own right whether you are playing a round or practising at the range. Green fees, stay-and-play packages and tee times are available via the resort.
