About This Event
On Remembrance Sunday the Ponteland community gathers for its annual act of remembrance. Uniformed organisations, including the 1st Ponteland Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association, assemble at the Leisure Centre from around 10.20am and march to the war memorial at the Memorial Hall for a service beginning at 10.30am. The short open-air service observes the two-minute silence at 11am and includes the laying of wreaths, before the parade returns to the Leisure Centre. Residents of all ages are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
