About W.S. Harrison Funeral Directors
W.S. Harrison Funeral Directors on Merton Way has served the Ponteland community since 2010, and was formerly known as John Bardgett & Sons. Now part of the national Dignity group, it combines a settled local presence with the resources of a larger organisation, and is available around the clock to bring a loved one into its care whenever the need arises. The Ponteland funeral home has a welcoming reception area, a private arranging room and two chapels of rest.
The branch arranges full and simple funerals as well as cremations, guiding families through burial or cremation, the order of service, and the associated costs at their own pace. As with any funeral director, it is worth asking early for a written estimate and discussing options such as a simple funeral if cost is a concern.
