Pont News & Views to Relaunch as a Quarterly Magazine
Pont News & Views, the community magazine funded by Ponteland Town Council, is being relaunched with a fresh look and will move from monthly to quarterly publication.
Pont News & Views, the long-running community magazine funded by Ponteland Town Council, is being relaunched with a new look and feel.
The Council has confirmed the publication is not being discontinued, but there will be changes to how it is produced and distributed. The magazine will move from a monthly to a quarterly schedule, and under the new arrangements it will no longer carry advertising for local businesses.
The Council said the extra space would allow it to provide more local news, community stories and resident-focused content, and that it will continue to promote local community groups and their events. A monthly "What's On" listing will also be displayed on community noticeboards to keep residents informed about upcoming activities.
Residents and groups wanting their events or meetings included in future issues can email the Town Council. The Council thanked the outgoing editor, who has produced the well-loved magazine for more than 20 years, along with its editorial committee.
